About Setup

Identification and Selection of Participating Firms

The regional offices will identify individual firms, within industry sectors they have identified to focus on, that will be the recipient of technology interventions under the Program. In so doing, the specific technological interventions will also be identified depending on the requirements of the firm. The expected outcome of the technology intervention will likewise be identified such as but not limited to increased production, improved quality, reduced cost of production, reduced pollution, etc. It would be necessary therefore, to gather baseline information on the current level of production, quality, cost of production, or pollution level as the case maybe. The information will also be the basis for evaluating the impact of the technology intervention, among other parameters that will be established later.

Initial consultations with technology sources have been made during the workshop in Ilo-ilo on March 7, 2002. Further consultations will be made when the specific technology interventions will have been identified as a result of consultations with individual firms in the industry sectors.

The full complement of projects indicating individual firms within the 5 industry sectors will be presented after the regional offices will have made consultations with the industry sectors in their regions.
